You can read about a meal and understand its ingredients, but you will not know it until you taste it. David says that God's goodness is like that. It is meant to be experienced. The way to find out is to trust Him, and then watch what He does.
Many people hold their beliefs about God at a distance. This verse invites a more personal approach. Take a small step of trust this week. Pray about something you have been afraid to bring to Him. Give something you would rather keep. Forgive someone. Then pay attention. Notice how He meets you. Write it down, and tell someone. Faith grows when we act on it and see God be faithful. Come and taste for yourself. Come and taste, and then tell others what you found.

Lord, I want to taste and see that You are good. Help me to trust You in a real step this week, and open my eyes to see You at work. In Jesus' name, amen.
