God speaks through Amos: let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream. The image is of a river in flood season, unstoppable and full. Just before this, God says He hates empty religious festivals. Worship is not enough if it is cut off from how we treat people. Justice and righteousness are meant to flow, not to trickle, through courts, workplaces, and neighborhoods.

We may not be able to change an entire system, but each of us can add water to the stream. That might mean treating an employee fairly, speaking up when someone is treated unjustly, giving to those who work for the poor, or voting and serving with conscience. Ask God where you can add to the flow of justice in your own circle. Take one concrete step, and let your worship be joined with action. Small acts of fairness, multiplied by many people, become a river. Add yours today, and encourage others to do the same.
