Those who carry good news are a beautiful sight to those who hear it.
“And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”Romans 10:15 (KJV)
What does “Beautiful feet” mean in Romans 10:15?
Paul quotes the prophet Isaiah, who described a messenger running across the mountains with news of peace. The word for feet shows that the beauty is in the going, the willingness to carry the message.

Paul asks a chain of questions in this chapter. How shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? Then he quotes Isaiah: how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things. It is a lovely image. It honors ordinary people who carry good news from one place to another.
Some are sent across the world, and some are sent across the street. Both are beautiful in God's sight. This verse invites us to ask where we are being sent, and who is helping to send others. You may be called to go, to give, to pray, or to welcome those who come. Choose one way to take part in carrying good news this week. Support a missionary, talk with a neighbor, or pray for someone who is far from home.
