God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us. That is the prayer of a people who know they depend on God's kindness. But the psalm does not stop with personal blessing. It continues with a purpose: that thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations. The blessing is not for us alone. It is meant to make God known to the world.
That is a helpful lens for our own blessings. When God gives us resources, skills, or opportunities, He is also inviting us to share them. Ask what He has given you that could bless people beyond your circle. It might be a talent, a friendship, or a bit of money. You could support a mission, welcome an international student, or pray for a nation by name. God's blessing was always meant to travel. God's heart has always been for the whole world.
