God's thoughts and ways are far higher than ours, and we can trust Him when we do not understand.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”Isaiah 55:8-9 (KJV)
What does “Higher ways” mean in Isaiah 55:8-9?
God speaks through Isaiah to people who could not see how He was working. He compares the distance between His thinking and ours to the distance between heaven and earth.

God says, For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. It is not an insult but an invitation to trust. If we could always understand God's ways, He would be no larger than us. The gap is a comfort, because it means that His wisdom is greater than our confusion.
When something in your life does not make sense, this verse offers rest. You are not required to figure everything out. You are asked to trust the One whose thoughts are higher. That does not mean stopping questions. It means holding them with open hands. Name a situation you do not understand, and say, Lord, Your ways are higher than mine, and I trust You with this. Then take the next step you can see.
