God guides the steps of those who follow Him, and He holds them up when they fall.
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.”Psalm 37:23-24 (KJV)
What does “Ordered steps” mean in Psalm 37:23-24?
David says that a good person's steps are ordered by the LORD, who delights in his way. Even when he stumbles, he is not thrown down, because God's hand upholds him.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Notice that God is involved in the small steps, not only the big decisions. And He delights in the person walking. Then comes a realistic promise: Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. The verse does not say we will never fall. It says that a fall is not the end.
That is encouraging for anyone who feels they have failed. God is still holding your hand. Rather than trying to see the whole path, focus on the next step and ask Him to order it. When you stumble, get up and keep walking, knowing that His hand is under you. Take a moment today to ask, Lord, what is the next step? Then take it, trusting that He delights in your walking and will not let you be utterly cast down.
