No power in the universe can separate us from God's love in Christ.

What does “Nothing can separate” mean in Romans 8:38-39?
Paul ends a great chapter with a list of things that might threaten us. He is convinced that none of them, in heaven or on earth, can pull believers away from the love of God.

Paul writes, I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. He covers everything: time, space, spiritual forces, and every created thing. The list is meant to leave no gap. Whatever we face, God's love holds.
This is one of the most reassuring passages in Scripture. On days when you feel unworthy or abandoned, read it slowly and put your own worries into the list. Perhaps your list includes illness, failure, loss, or loneliness. Paul says none of those can cut you off. Notice that the love is in Christ Jesus. It is anchored in what He has done, not in how well you are doing today. Rest in it. Let this truth rest in your heart tonight.
