Mary Magdalene stood weeping outside the empty tomb. She had already spoken to Jesus, but she thought He was the gardener. Then He said one word: Mary. Everything changed. She turned and answered, Rabboni. The moment of recognition came through her name spoken in a voice she knew. He did not give a long explanation. He simply called her by name, and she knew Him.

There is deep comfort in that scene. The risen Christ is not a distant idea. He knows each person personally. Earlier in John's Gospel, He says that the shepherd calls his own sheep by name. If you have ever felt overlooked or forgotten, remember that you are known. Today, be still for a moment and listen. You may not hear an audible voice, but you can remind yourself that He knows your name, and that He speaks it with love. A single word from Him was enough to turn her grief into joy.
